Healing Hands for Haiti International is a non-profit institution dedicated to delivering physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to Haitians with disabilities.

We are seeking financial and volunteer support to help us accomplish our goal of transferring the technical and medical knowledge and services needed to enable Haitians to help themselves.

We welcome applications from committed health care professionals, including:

• physicians
• nurses
• physical therapists
• occupational therapists
• speech/langauge pathologists
• orthotists and prosthetists

and when opportunity permits, support volunteers including:

• translators
• skilled workers
• students

When qualified, you are invited to join one of our medical teams to help train Haitian health care workers and treat patients with disabilities at our clinic in Port-au-Prince and in orphanages and schools throughout the country. Every year, approximately 10 medical rehabilitation teams of between 20 and 30 volunteers from all over North America travel to Haiti for between one and two weeks. Each medical team is led by an experienced and trained team leader who organizes logistics, supplies and assignments and ensures the safety and security of the team at all times.

Team members finance their own expenses, which may vary, often assisted by joint fundraising projects. Fees will cover all costs except personal expenses, including guaranteed return transportation, in-country travel, accommodation, meals, security, and hospitality. While at Healing Hands for Haiti headquarters and clinic in Port-au-Prince, teams reside at our comfortable, secure visitor facility; when on the road, appropriate accommodations are pre-arranged.
